Yoga Therapy

How it Works:

It is a private one-to-one session, that is an integrative process that combines yoga poses, breath work, relaxation, and mental support.

Yoga therapy is different from public or private yoga sessions due to its collaborative working relationship between myself and the client.

By creating goals, the intent is to increase awareness of yourself as a whole being and become better connected by listening to your body and this connects to your breath patterning and becoming an observer of where you are at.

I feel excited to support you on the journey of self-discovery through these subtle but powerful practices.

  • Sessions are client-centered and tailored to meet⠀
an individual’s needs, taking a holistic and integrative approach to health. Yoga therapy can be offered alongside other medical treatments or⠀
complimentary therapies and no previous experience in yoga is required.

Working together to find pain relief on a physical, emotional, energetic, and psychological level. You will receive supportive tools and techniques that can provide an ongoing benefit to you.

  • Yoga therapy is different from a public yoga class or private yoga session due to its collaborative working relationship between the yoga therapist and the client.

“Yoga therapy is the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalised assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.”

  • This type of therapy is suitable for most conditions and can be used alongside other therapies and medication. Areas I have experience in include stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, fertility and reproductive health, back pain, digestion, anything musculoskeletal, respiratory based, and more recently, long covid (especially as yoga breathing assists with pulmonary issues).

  • You can contact me at: tamtamyoga@gmail.com and we can arrange a call to discuss your needs and work out if Yoga Therapy is correct for you.

Before the first session, I will ask you to complete a health form which I need to be returned before our first meet-up.

Sessions can include movement, postures, breathing practices, meditation,⠀
visualization, relaxation, mudras, and other supportive practices.⠀
You will receive a written/audible practice to follow at home, accompanied by any necessary recordings.

How many sessions you would like is up to you and your availability and budget.

The first session is 90 minutes. During this time a full assessment of your posture, breath, and movement will take place.

At the end of the session, you will receive a bespoke written practice to take home with you.

The follow-up sessions are 60 minutes of working towards your goals that come up on the day.

Here we’ll focus on your practice so you gain the maximum therapeutic benefit and feel empowered to continue your journey.
